Wizz Air was the largest foreign airline at Keflavík Airport in September according to Tourist.is.

It is the third largest airline if the two Icelandic companies are taken into account but was in the eighth place in September last year.

According touristi.is estimation, 90 flights were departed daily from Keflavik Airport. Of these, just under half were on Icelandair planes, and WOW air was less than a third.

The news also states  that after the Icelandic companies, Hungarian airline Wizz Air has 74 trips, or 2.7% share. It’s three more than easyJet had last year and then Wizz air was in eighth place.

Gabor Vasarhelyi, Communications Manager Wizz Air, said that in the first eight months of the year, the airline had flown with 140,000 passengers on these routes, equivalent to 186% year-on-year growth.
